Job summary

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gas Safe Service and Maintenance Engineer role based in Bradford. The engineer will carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on gas-fired heating and associated HVAC systems in commercial and residential properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing scheduled and reactive maintenance, conducting safety checks, and ensuring compliance with Gas Safe regulations and relevant standards. The role involves responding to breakdowns, identifying faults, replacing parts, and completing accurate service reports and documentation. The engineer will also liaise with clients on-site, provide clear advice on system performance, and collaborate with colleagues to support efficient delivery of projects and maintenance contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong background in equipment maintenance, with experience working on gas-fired boilers, burners, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance engineering and maintenance & repair, including diagnostics, fault finding, and component replacement.
• Experience with preventive maintenance activities, planned service schedules, and compliance-focused inspections.
• Skills in electrical maintenance related to heating and air conditioning equipment, including safe isolation and basic wiring checks.
• Valid Gas Safe registration (or eligibility to obtain), with up-to-date knowledge of relevant UK regulations and standards.
• Trade qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, gas, or building services engineering (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics, complete clear service reports, and use digital tools for job management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to working safely and responsibly on client sites.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between client locations as required.
