Job summary

Center Parcs UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep heating systems and guest accommodation running smoothly at Longleat Forest. You will attend callouts, carry out inspections, and ensure preventative maintenance and great customer service.

The role involves 160 hours over a 4-week period, evening and weekend shifts, and on-call duties. NVQ/SVQ in Engineering Maintenance and a gas safe qualification are required, along with a driving licence and trade experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ or SVQ in Engineering Maintenance and Installation in Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation Level 2 & 3.
• Current Gas Safe qualification.
• Previous trade experience (electrical or mechanical).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Full driving licence (held for a minimum of 6 months).

• Carry out inspections and planned preventative maintenance.
• Report defects and assist with general technical tasks.
• Attend callouts and resolve gas and heating issues promptly.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and participate in on-call duties.

Job description

Forest | Circa £42,200 per annum

Keep family breaks running smoothly You will be responsible for attending callouts and maintaining heating systems across guest accommodation and village buildings. You'll ensure timely repairs, preventative maintenance and deliver excellent customer service.

Location: Longleat Forest (BA12 7PU)

Your working hours

• Full-time contract, shifts fall between 8:00am and 10:00pm
• You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
• This role includes evenings and alternate weekends
• You will be 'on call' during late shifts to handle any out‑of‑hours issues

About You
