Job summary

HomeServe UK is hiring a Gas Repair Engineer to diagnose and repair gas appliances and heating systems in customers’ homes in Romford. You’ll run safety checks, service boilers, and manage jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll receive a competitive package including a base salary of £52,830 plus a guaranteed £3,000 bonus in year one, paid overtime, a pension, 33 days holiday, a company van and fuel card, full tools and PPE, and ongoing industry training.

Qualifications

• Valid gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, CKR1.
• Experience repairing gas appliances and central heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• A positive, proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults on boilers and central heating systems.
• Carrying out repairs to restore heating and hot water.
• Carrying out boiler services.
• Completing safety checks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service.
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism.
