Job summary
Falcon Foodservice Equipment is seeking a Gas Product Development Engineer for their Stirling site. You will lead development and verification of gas-fired catering appliances, ensuring compliance and safety across the product lifecycle.
The role covers burner's design, ignition and flame supervision, with collaboration across functions and external labs to support certification and production readiness.
Qualifications
- Degree or similar engineering qualification or equivalent depth of industrial experience.
- Experience in developing gas-fired appliances, burners, boilers or regulated combustion equipment.
- Knowledge of combustion, gas/air delivery, ignition, flame supervision, ventilation, emissions and safety controls.
- Experience supporting product verification or third‑party certification in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead BSI recertification work packages from standards gap review to action closure.
- Develop and validate burners, gas trains, ignition and flame-supervision systems.
- Define acceptance criteria and run practical tests covering combustion and emissions.
- Create and review audit-ready evidence including risk assessments and test plans.
- Collaborate with Lab, Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical Services and labs.
