Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Gas Operative (NCO1 Support Engineer) to join a safety-conscious team delivering gas-related repairs and services across the UK. You will attend gas leaks, assist the Team Leader, and perform groundwork while promoting safe working practices on site.

A full, valid driver’s licence is required, and you must be available for a 40-hour week rota that includes weekends. Expect a focus on compliance, customer service, and efficient task completion.

Qualifications

• SHEA Gas qualification required.
• NCO1 Assistant certification required.
• NRSWA 1,2 & 3 Operative qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Team Leader.
• Attending gas leaks.
• Groundwork.
• Excavations and reinstatements.
• Utilising appropriate signing, lighting, and guarding.
• Ensuring cable avoidance.
• Delivering equipment and tools where required.
• Patrol and plant protection.
• Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m.
• Working on a standby rota system.
