Job summary
National Gas is seeking a Project Delivery Engineer to lead safe, high-pressure gas operations and manage projects from conception through to completion. You will ensure delivery on time and within budget while upholding safety standards and customer service across a diverse portfolio.
Based near Ambergate with a 60-minute commute, this site-based role may include occasional home working where appropriate. You will coordinate internal teams and contractors, manage risks, and provide technical
Qualifications
- HNC/ONC qualification (or equivalent) in engineering.
- Strong knowledge of high-pressure gas operations and networks.
- Experience with SCO procedures and job owner responsibilities.
- Planning operational work programmes and managing resources.
- Knowledge of CDM requirements and safety standards.
- Experience leading teams and contractors to deliver safe outcomes.
- Ability to investigate incidents and improve safety performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, efficient high-pressure gas operations and emergency activities.
- Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to meet programmes.
- Deliver projects on time and budget with strong customer focus.
- Develop estimates and technical solutions for opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Coach and develop team capability and conduct competency reviews.
- Support standby rota and provide incident response during network events.
