Job summary

Fingleton White is seeking a Project Design Engineer to join our Gas Transmission/Distribution design team in Hemel Hempstead. You will work within an established group, gaining a broad range of skills in design and project delivery across gas networks.

The role offers hybrid working, with opportunities to progress and develop through CPD, mentoring and potential Chartered Engineer pathways. Applicants should have 4+ years post-graduate experience and a strong background in mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (Bachelor Honours or higher).
• 4+ years post-graduate experience.
• Experience in the Gas Industry.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design & Project Coordination from conceptual phase through to project completion in gas networks.
• Work within a design team including Mechanical, Civil, E&I, CP and drafting members.
• Design drawings, specifications and reports from Conceptual to Detailed design.
• Survey natural gas installations; liaise with authorities and clients.
• Present design solutions to clients; participate in HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA studies.
