Mears is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to perform installations, servicing, repairs and safety inspections across social housing properties in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. You will work on gas appliances including boilers, cookers, and fires, while ensuring compliance with gas safety regulations and company procedures.
You will diagnose faults, document work using handheld devices, and provide excellent customer service to residents.
Formación
- Proven experience in gas installation, servicing and repairs.
- Experience with domestic gas appliances including boilers, cookers and fires.
- Knowledge of gas safety legislation and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel and participate in out-of-hours call-outs.
Responsabilidades
- Carry out gas installations, servicing and repairs of domestic gas appliances.
- Diagnose faults and complete remedial works safely and efficiently.
- Undertake landlord gas safety inspections and issue CP12 certificates.
- Ensure all work complies with current gas regulations and internal procedures.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and urgent repairs when required.
- Record completed work using handheld devices and job management systems.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, housing officers and internal teams.
- Maintain van stock levels and arrange materials as required.
