Job summary
Together Housing Group is seeking 2 Gas Installation Technicians to install, commission and service domestic gas boilers and heating systems in North and West Yorkshire. You will work across tenanted and vacant properties, ensuring compliance with Gas Safe and Building Regulations while delivering excellent resident service.
Benefits include a starting salary around £37,977 to £40,791, annual leave rising to 32 days, a company van for business use, and LGPS pension.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving license and clean driving record.
- ACS: CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, UDHW credentials.
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Gas Maintenance or equivalent.
- Experience installing, fault finding and servicing domestic gas appliances.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Gas Safe and health & safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, replacement and commissioning of domestic gas boilers and heating systems in tenanted and void properties.
- Install, commission and test Y Plan and S Plan heating and hot water controls.
- Install and integrate solar thermal with conventional systems.
- Alter pipework, gas supplies, flues and condensate systems for new installations.
- Complete certification, reporting and ensure compliance with Gas Safe and Building Regulations.
- Balance systems, perform tests and handovers for customer satisfaction.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and work schedules to meet standards and timetable.
- Identify safety concerns and report defects during installations.
- Carry out risk assessments to protect health and safety of tenants and colleagues.
- Multi-skill and undertake related gas trades when required.
