Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead delivery of multiple gas infrastructure contracts for a Tier One contractor in the Warrington area. You will oversee project management teams, drive programme delivery, manage commercial performance, quality, health and safety, and client satisfaction.

You will work with senior leadership to manage risk, develop client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth across major projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar senior operational role.
• Experience delivering Gas Transmission projects is highly advantageous.
• CSCS card is required.
• Industry-related degree or professional membership (MCIOB or MICE) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and document management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple live and mobilising contracts, ensuring safety, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction targets are met.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, manage performance and operational risks.
• Oversee tenders for new works and ensure commercial alignment with client requirements.
• Coordinate design, quality management, resource planning and defects handling.
• Develop project management teams and drive performance against KPIs.
• Promote SHEQ compliance and maintain contractual standards.
• Maintain effective resource allocation and strong team engagement.
• Build and maintain client, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide accurate progress reporting and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
