Custom Heat & Cool in the Midlands is recruiting a Gas Heating Engineer (Installations) to join the family-run team. You will carry out domestic (and some commercial) gas heating installations across Rugby, Coventry, Leamington, Warwickshire and beyond, with a clear pipeline of year-round work.
Fully funded training, a generous benefits package, a weekday Mon-Fri schedule, a company van, tools and ongoing professional development, including renewables and air conditioning.
We’re a family-run business established in 1980, based in Rugby. We work across the Midlands and South West, delivering high-quality domestic and some commercial projects. This role covers Rugby, Coventry & Leamington, Warwickshire, Northampton, Birmingham and beyond.
Join Custom Heat & Cool and benefit from a full, year-round pipeline of work, steady income, and a supportive team environment, with fully funded training and development opportunities (including renewables and air conditioning).
The working week is Monday – Friday (08:00 – 17:00) however flexible working requests can be considered at the point of application.
We pay people for their skills and experience, not for how long they’ve been with us. If you’re good at what you do, you’ll be paid for it from day one. We look after our people, and that’s a big part of why so many of them stay.
You won’t be on your own. Our Installation Manager and Operations Director are on hand to support on site when a job needs it, and our full-time delivery driver gets parts out to you, so you’re not left waiting around.
We invest heavily in training. We want every engineer to hold the core qualifications, including gas, LPG, OFTEC and unvented, and if you look us up on the Gas Safe Register you’ll see most of our team already do. We attend manufacturer courses throughout the year, and after your first 12 months you can join our training scheme to add qualifications in air conditioning, heat pumps and other renewables.
We’ve been family-run since 1980, and we try to run the business the way a good family would: straightforward, fair, and looking out for each other.
