Job summary

Rock Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading gas contractor to recruit Gas Installation Engineers for private/domestic housing across London and the South West & East. You’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of installations, ensuring work meets specifications, client criteria and all governing body regulations.

Salary starts at £375+ per swap/install, with additional price-work paid separately. Weekly payments, long‑term contracts and steady workload.

Qualifications

• Valid ACS and other gas qualifications are required.
• Experience delivering gas installations in domestic/private housing is preferred.
• Clean driving licence (UK) with up to 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of installations to client criteria and regulations.
• Complete job paperwork, timesheets and H&S monitoring forms.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service during installations.

Gas Installation Engineer – Domestic/Private Housing

(Price Work) Location: South of England

Taunton to Canterbury

Pay: £375+ per swap/install (price work)

Rock Recruitment is working with our client, a market-leading provider of heating and compliance services across the UK

Gas Installation Engineers for private/domestic housing installation work across London and the South West & East.

Our client is one of the UK largest and most successful gas contractors, offering long-term work, consistent volume, and genuine career security for the right engineers.

The Role:

You’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of assigned installations, completing works to specification, client criteria, and all governing body regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Complete installations to the specification of the survey and client criteria, in line with all governing body regulations
• Report any issues preventing completion to your installation supervisor
• Complete all contract-specific paperwork at the time of installation and obtain all necessary signatures
• Carry out duties professionally and courteously, respecting customers' property and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
• Attend any recalls at the request of your installation supervisor
• Complete assigned installations within the set timeframe
• Complete all paperwork, including timesheets and H&S monitoring forms
• Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental procedures and standards are adhered to
• Ensure all certification and documentation is completed accurately

Requirements:

• Valid ACS and other relevant gas qualifications
• Full UK driving licence (less than 6 points)
• Experience within social/private housing desirable but not essential
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base
• Own calibrated flue gas analyser, hand tools, and reliable van (for self-employed/sub-contract engineers)
