Job summary
Baxi in Birmingham is seeking a Gas Engineer (Field Service Engineer) to deliver expert service, maintenance and repair across domestic and commercial heating products. You will work in the field, diagnose faults, complete repairs, and commission new appliances with a focus on first-time fixes and high customer satisfaction.
The role operates on annualised hours (approx. 41.5 hours/week), with some weekend, evening and bank-holiday work; salary is £44,984.22 + monthly bonus, plus a company van
Qualifications
- Proven experience servicing and repairing domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
- Fault-finding and diagnostic experience with strong problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence. Health & safety and Gas Safe knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient service, maintenance and repair across domestic/commercial heating products.
- Diagnose faults and deliver first-time fixes where possible.
- Commission new installations and ensure systems run efficiently.
- Complete work in line with Gas Safe regulations and safety policies.
- Manage daily schedule and provide technical advice to customers and installers.
- Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment; document job reports clearly.
