Job summary

MSV Housing seeks an experienced Gas Engineer to join our established team in Greater Manchester. You will service, diagnose faults, and install heating systems across our housing stock, while delivering excellent customer service.

You must hold ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration with City & Guilds certification, hold a full UK driving licence, and be able to work independently as part of a team; a company vehicle and flexible working options are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration, with relevant City & Guilds certification
• Proven experience as a Gas/Heating Engineer, delivering servicing, repairs, and installations
• Strong technical knowledge of domestic heating systems, including fault diagnosis and maintenance
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations (Gas Safe and HSE compliance)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload effectively with minimal supervision
• Full, current UK driving licence
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify improvements and contribute to service quality

Responsibilities

At MSV Housingwerecommitted to making sure our customers have safe,warmandgood qualityhomes, and our Gas Engineers are key to making this happen. We are looking to recruit an experienced Gas Engineer with strong technical and customer service skills to join our established team.

Reporting to the Gas/Service Manager, our Gas Engineers provide a comprehensive service including annual gas servicing, breakdown diagnosis and repair, and installation of heating systems across our housing stock. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.

Whatdo ourGas Engineersdo;

Install, service, and upgrade domestic heating systems in line with schedules, budgets, and regulatory standards.

Diagnose and repair faults across heating and plumbing systems, ensuring high-quality and safe workmanship.

Provide excellent customer service by liaising professionally with residents, managing appointments, and ensuring satisfaction on completion.

Ensure full compliance with Gas Safe, HSE, and company policies, including issuing certification andmaintainingaccuraterecords.

Support efficient service delivery by managing materials,maintainingtools and vehicles, contributing to team performance, andparticipatingin out-of-hours emergencycall-outs.

Whatwe are looking for;
