Job summary

Places for People is hiring a qualified Gas Engineer to service and install gas systems across domestic properties in the PE postcode area. You will work with a company van and fuel card, following gas safety regulations and safety standards.

The role includes an on-call rota and a focus on first-time fixes in a stable, permanent position. You will manage van stock, coordinate with teams to meet service targets, and document all activity and compliance.

Qualifications

• ACS gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration.
• Experience as a Gas Engineer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within the PE postcode area.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out gas servicing, maintenance and installation across domestic properties.
• Working in line with gas safety regulations and health and safety standards.
• Participating in an on call rota when required.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying outgas servicing, maintenance and installation across domestic properties
• Working in line with gas safety regulations and health and safety standards
• Participating in an on call rota when required
• Managing van stock to maximise first time fix rates
• Collaborating with teams to meet service targets
• Recordingwork activity and compliance documentation

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering servicing, maintenance andinstallation work
• Travelling between jobs inyour company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directlywith Customers in their homes

EssentialCriteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• ACSgas qualifications and Gas Safe registration
• Experienceworking as a Gas Engineer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be basedwithin the PE postcode

Nice to have (not essential)

• Experienceworking to service KPIs
• Strong fault finding skills
