Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is recruiting a Domestic Gas Engineer for a mobile maintenance role across Scotland, including social housing contracts. The position offers a route to commercial gas qualifications and long-term career progression.

The role involves servicing, fault finding and repairing domestic gas appliances, with a 1 in 5 on-call rota and a company van provided for business and personal use. Permanent, full-time employment in central Scotland.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Domestic Gas Engineer required.
• Current ACS domestic gas qualifications mandatory.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and fault finding gas appliances.
• Experience in social housing or facilities management is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to gain commercial gas qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive gas maintenance acts.
• Service, fault-find and repair domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Diagnose breakdowns and complete repairs.
• Undertake general heating maintenance across social housing properties.
• Support maintenance works across commercial contracts.
• Ensure works comply with current gas regulations and safety.
• Participate in a 1 in 5 on-call rota.

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Location: Central Belt, Scotland

FM Search & Select are currently recruiting for a Domestic Gas Engineer on behalf of an established Facilities Management provider operating across Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer looking for a mobile maintenance role with the added opportunity to gain commercial gas qualifications, fully supported by the company.

The Role

• Carrying out planned and reactive gas maintenance.
• Servicing, fault finding and repairing domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Diagnosing breakdowns and completing necessary repairs.
• Undertaking general heating maintenance across social housing properties.
• Supporting maintenance works across commercial contracts.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current gas regulations.
• Participating in a 1 in 5 on-call rota.
