Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking a Gas Engineer to prep vacant properties in Wiltshire, ensuring gas, heating and hot water systems are safe, certified and ready for new tenants.

The role involves working independently in a company vehicle, carrying out CP12 inspections, diagnosing faults, and reporting remedial work in line with Gas Safe regulations.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with ACS qualifications and G3 unvented hot water certifica­tion.
• Experience carrying out CP12 inspections on domestic heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding, repair and installation skills.
• Good IT skills and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Inspections (CP12) and complete all required certification.
• Diagnose, repair and recommission boilers, heating and hot water systems.
• Inspect properties, identify defects and report remedial works.
• Ensure all work is completed safely following Gas Safe regulations and company procedures.
• Prepare properties for handover with fully operational heating and hot water systems and accurate documentation.

Education

Gas Safe ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1)

G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification

CP12 inspections experience

Full UK driving licence

Gas Engineer - Void Properties - £40,000 - £45,000 - experience depending - Wiltshire

As a GasEngineer, you'll prepare empty homes on patch, ensuring gas, heating and hot water systems are safe, fully operational and certified before new families move in.

Working independently in a company vehicle, you'll inspect properties, carry out gas safety checks, diagnose and repair faults, and ensure homes are ready for handover within agreed turnaround times.

Key Duties of the Gas Engineer:

• Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Inspections (CP12) and complete all required certification.
• Diagnose, repair and recommission boilers, heating and hot water systems.
• Inspect properties, identify defects, and complete or report remedial works.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, following Gas Safe regulations and company procedures.
• Prepare properties for handover by ensuring heating and hot water systems are fully operational and documentation is completed accurately.

What You'll Need for the role:

• Gas Safe Registered with current ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and CPA1).
• G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.
