Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Gas Compressor Technician at our Ellon facility to join a dedicated team delivering repair, overhaul and maintenance of gas compressors. You will work on sealing, assembly, testing, and performance verification of equipment to meet client specifications.

The role emphasizes reading engineering drawings, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach with engineering and quality teams in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the overhaul and maintenance of gas compressors or similar rotating equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Disassembling, inspecting, and rebuilding gas compressors and their components.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in a variety of compressor types.
• Precision fitting, machining, and assembly work as required.
• Performing dynamic and functional testing on overhauled equipment.
• Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE requirements.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled Gas Compressor Technician to join our team.

As a Gas Compressor Technician, you will be working directly on the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of gas compressors. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' equipment is serviced to the highest standards, meeting industry specifications and maintaining operational efficiency.

Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Disassembling, inspecting, and rebuilding gas compressors and their components
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in a variety of compressor types
• Precision fitting, machining, and assembly work as required

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
