Huntress - Maidstone is seeking a Clerk of Works (Gas) to join its facilities management team in Kent. The role combines site inspections with office work to supervise gas installations and the boiler replacement programme.

You will monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with Gas Safety Regulations, and help manage health and safety across housing sites. This contract may lead to permanent opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience of gas installations.
• Housing maintenance inspection experience within a housing association or similar.
• Knowledge of heating systems and statutory landlord obligations, including Gas Safety Regulations.
• Experience supervising contractors and managing project delivery.
• Strong communicator with good IT skills.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with the operational management of the term heating and hot water contract.
• Supporting delivery of the capital boiler replacement programme.
• Inspecting gas and heating works on site to ensure quality, time and cost standards are met.
• Approving variations and recommending contractor payments.
• Undertaking defects inspections and raising works orders.
• Ensuring resident health and safety, especially fire safety and asbestos.
