Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Gas Engineer to maintain and service gas and mechanical systems across a diverse estate. The role is hands-on, with planned and reactive maintenance, and an on-call rota after six months. Based at Minley near Blackwater, Hampshire, you’ll work 40 hours per week with early starts.

Essential qualifications include core gas safety certs and a full UK driving licence. The position demands careful fault finding and independent work in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer with gas systems and boilers.
• Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Ability to work safely within a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance checks on gas and mechanical systems.
• Support mechanical asset replacement, upgrades and refurbishment.
• Repair, service and fault-find on commercial boilers and equipment.
• Maintain stock levels and inventories for mechanical maintenance.
• Undertake plumbing maintenance across the estate.
