Hemiko are recruiting for a Gas Breakdown Engineer reporting to the Lead Commercial Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operation and maintenance services across our fleet of heat networks. We are looking for someone who has a valid commercial gas certificate, with experience servicing and repairing commercial boiler equipment. Experience maintaining and operating commercial non-gas plant, e.g., pumps, valves, strainers, would be beneficial. The role will be varied, undertaking PPMs, reactive call outs, planned repairs and project work, to further improve reliability and network efficiency across the fleet of networks we operate.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with at least 2 years relevant experience of working within Plant rooms on boiler in excess of 1MW who is knowledgeable, reliable and someone who will contribute positively to our safe & supportive working culture.

The Role
Hemiko are seeking a Gas Breakdown Engineer to work under/with our Lead Commercial Engineer to learn and develop while delivering value to the Operations Department.
Specifically, the successful candidate will have a strong competency within the commercial gas field, with 1-3 years working as a Commercial Gas Engineer. They need to have experience servicing gas boilers of various manufacturers, and able to fault find and replace parts comfortably. Experience in district heating networks is preferred but not essential.

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, and positive in their outlook. The company is relatively small but with very fast growth trajectory over the coming 3 years and beyond. The candidate will be able to work as part of a functional commercial team and the project team(s) to which they are assigned and take ownership and fulfil their tasks to a high standard and on time.
The candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with team members, as well as external clients and their respective site-based teams. They will be personable and a good communicator.
