Job description

Location – East and North London

Role Description

We are currently recruiting for a Contract Domestic Gas Quality Control Auditor to cover East and North London, working 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).

This role involves conducting quality control inspections on various works carried out for social housing providers.

Service Checks

1. Verify with the tenant if the engineer showed their ID / Gas Safe Card.
2. Assess if the engineer was polite and well-presented.
3. Check if the engineer left a copy of the LGSR.
4. Perform a gas rate and FGA on max to ensure readings match, and visually check PRV termination, condensate, and room thermostat.

Installation Checks

1. Conduct the same checks as above, and additionally inspect radiators and TRVs if installed.
2. Ensure pipework is properly clipped.
3. Perform a tightness test if deemed necessary.

Breakdown Checks

For example, if an engineer fitted a pump, verify that the pump was actually installed.

Qualifications and Skills

• A full suite of ACS qualifications, including at minimum: CCN1, CENWAT (CEN1, WAT1), HTR1, CKR1, and CPA1.
• Detailed knowledge of gas appliances and central heating systems, with a thorough understanding of Normative Documents, especially the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998.
• Good communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Previous experience in auditing or inspecting jobs.
• Own van and tools, and availability to work 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).
