MENSWEAR GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST (SPORTS/ STREETWEAR)

MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE

FULL TIME OFFICE BASED ROLE

UP TO £30K

Our client is a rapidly growing sports/streetwear online brand looking to recruit an experienced Garment Technologist. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in sportswear/streetwear online brands and possess a technical fashion degree.

The Role

• Collaborate with designers and directors to develop fit-for-purpose products.
• Assist with measuring and commenting on samples across menswear and accessories.
• Check submissions from factories, including lab dips, fabric, and print submissions.
• Ensure products meet safety standards and testing requirements.
• Work with a critical path to ensure smooth development and on-time ex-factory dates.
• Communicate with overseas factories and suppliers to track production.
• Perform QC checks and provide feedback to factories.
• Organize samples, archive old samples, and manage submission files.
• Support with managing brand return logs.
• Hold fit sessions and advise on fit issues.

This role is based at the head office and offers opportunities for progression. The candidate should be organized, proactive, and able to take ownership of responsibilities, working closely with the design team. Flexibility to travel for factory visits and warehouse trips is required. A degree in fashion or technical field and 3-4 years of relevant experience are preferred, with knowledge of garment construction, grading, and technical standards essential.
