Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous Garment Technologist experience within the UK fashion retail market is essential.
• Proven experience in clothing/high-street fashion environments.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, production and quality management processes.
• Excellent understanding of fit, sizing, garment specifications and critical path management.
• Experience working directly with factories and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making technical decisions.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Data-driven approach and ability to use customer insight for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of sample management and the fit process from development to production.
• Evaluate development and pre-production samples against specifications and approve for bulk production.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues throughout production.
• Ensure consistency of sizing and fit across the product range with the Product team.
• Build strong relationships with factories and suppliers for accurate specs and timely samples.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Retail, Customer Services and Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Manage the critical path from proto sample to bulk production in partnership with Product Development.
• Ensure suppliers comply with ethical and technical standards.
• Audit and approve manufacturing units; propose corrective actions as needed.
• Review in-season returns and use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
