Job summary

CareMatchr Ltd. is seeking a landscape maintenance assistant to support our housing department across Swindon.

You will work with the Borough's core gardening team to maintain flower and shrub beds, hedges and grass areas, in all weather conditions. The role involves operating mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers and other equipment, and performing bending, lifting and general manual labour as part of a mobile landscaping service.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with a manual gearbox.
• Ability to operate light goods vehicles (e.g., Transit) safely.
• Willingness to perform manual landscaping tasks in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sheltered/communal landscaped areas across the Borough.
• Assist with the Housing department's GMS service during summer.
• Mow, hedge trim, prune, weed and maintain lawns and flower beds.
• Use equipment such as mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers and blowers.
• Handle bending, lifting and general manual labour as part of the role.

Job description

Job Purpose: To assist in the maintenance of the housing departments Sheltered/Communal landscaped areas and to assist with the Housing departments GMS service through the summer months
Working in all climatic conditions you will be working alongside and supporting the Boroughs core team of skilled and semi skilled gardeners across the whole of the Borough maintaining flower beds, Shrub beds, hedges , grass areas.
The use of mechanical equipment such as mowers, Hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers, pedestrian mowers on a regular basis should be expected.
Bending, lifting, carrying, weeding, walking and general manual labour are all a part of this role.
We are a fully mobile Landscaping service subsequently all candidates must have a full, current U.K. driving licence that covers a manual gearbox . You must be willing to operate Light goods vehicle’s such as Transit tipper van etc.
