Hallmark Luxury Care Homes is seeking a Gardener/Maintenance Assistant to nurture outdoor spaces and uphold high standards across our home. You will tend flowerbeds and shrubs, maintain fencing and equipment, and assist with site safety and resident comfort.

Ideal candidates are passionate about gardening, safety-conscious, and collaborative, ready to adapt to residents' needs with empathy and professionalism. 40 hours per week, on-site in the UK.

Qualifications

• Passion for gardening and outdoor maintenance.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations within a care home.
• Able to work as part of a supportive team with empathy toward residents.

Responsabilités

• Maintain grounds to high standards, ensuring safety and aesthetics.
• Tend to flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees to enhance outdoor spaces.
• Care for equipment and fencing; ensure they are safe and well-maintained.
• Clear snow and ice in winter to keep residents and staff safe.
• Follow COSHH guidance when using garden chemicals.

40 Hours a week - Monday to Friday with the occasional Weekend when required

From tending to flowerbeds and shrubs to ensuring our outdoor areas are safe and inviting, your work will contribute to making our home a welcoming and vibrant place for residents to enjoy.

What Our Gardener/Maintenance Assistant Does:

• Maintain our grounds to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and visually appealing.
• Tend to flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees, planting and nurturing a variety of flora to enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces.
• Care for equipment and structures such as fencing, ensuring they are well-maintained and in good working order.
• Clear snow and ice in the winter to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
• Use garden treatment chemicals in line with COSHH regulations, prioritizing the health and safety of all.
• Adapt your work schedule to accommodate the needs of our residents, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and inclusive environment that supports the well-being of our residents.
• Assisting the Maintenance Manager with any maintenance requirements for the home.
