Newnham College is seeking a dedicated Gardener to join the College Gardening team in Cambridge. The role is permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with responsibilities across 18 acres of landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces.

The successful candidate will work to maintain lawns, plants and trees, using garden tools and machinery, and may have occasional weekend or evening duties. Salary is £27,241 per annum with a contributory pension and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualificações

• Qualified in horticulture or equivalent experience.
• Sound grounding in plants, trees and lawn care.
• Familiar with maintaining and operating garden tools and machinery.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weathers; able to handle chemicals and work at height.

Responsabilidades

• Tend, preserve and develop the College’s 18 acres of gardens, playing fields and outdoor spaces.
• Operate and maintain garden tools and machinery.
• Participate in physical garden work across all seasons.
• Occasional weekend and evening work as required.
