Job summary

Buchan and London Recruitment is seeking an experienced Gardener to join a leading landscaping contractor on a 100 acre high-spec site in Reading. You will perform pruning, planting, and general maintenance, working safely and independently or with a small team.

Good plant knowledge and around 1–2 years in garden maintenance are preferred. All tools are provided, and mileage reimbursement may apply. This role offers professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

This leading award winning Landscaping contractor client is seeking an experienced Gardener to join the team full-time working on a 100 acre high spec site.

As the successful candidate you will have a good level of horticultural knowledge for the ongoing care and maintenance of beautifully designed, high-end private site in the Reading area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, feeding, seasonal planting, and pest/disease control
• Use and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently
• Ensure all works are conducted safely and respectfully
• Work collaboratively and professionally with team members

Requirements:

• Minimum 1- 2 years' experience in garden maintenance (estates preferred)
• Good plant knowledge and strong horticultural skills
• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Able to work well independently and as part of a small team
• Good communication
• Physically fit and prepared to work in all weather
• UK driving license preferred (not essential)
