Job summary

Buchan and London Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Gardener for a full-time role on a 100-acre high-spec private site in the Reading area. The successful candidate will perform regular maintenance, pruning, planting, and pest control, using garden tools and machinery safely.

You will work with a small team and ensure safety, quality, and professional conduct at all times. The role requires a good level of horticultural knowledge, independent work capability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in garden maintenance (estates preferred).
• Good plant knowledge and strong horticultural skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a small team.
• Good communication.
• Physically fit and prepared to work in all weather.
• UK driving license preferred (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, feeding, seasonal planting, and pest/disease control.
• Use and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all works are conducted safely and respectfully.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with team members.
