Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford is seeking a dedicated gardener to maintain the property's exterior, including gardens, drives and car parks. Daily duties cover mowing, planting, and upkeep in a luxury hotel setting.

You will plan planting schemes, work with a team, and monitor safety and quality. NVQ2 in horticulture or equivalent is preferred; join a 5-star team with training, discounts and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience as a gardener or landscaper.
• NVQ level 2 in horticulture (or equivalent).
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
• Planning and implementation of planting schemes and landscaping projects.
• Good communication skills, good work ethic and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of the Hotel and Spa gardens, car park and drives, lawns, and other landscaped areas.
• Planning, costing, and implementation of planting schemes.
• Planning and implementation of landscaping projects.
• To achieve a high level of attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.
• To be highly motivated and productive with a strong work ethic.
• To communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, members and guests.
