Job summary

Wheatley is seeking a dedicated Gardener to maintain clean, attractive grounds and outdoor spaces across multiple sites in the UK. You will work as part of a team or individually, prioritising workloads and adapting to changing site needs while upholding safety and security standards.

The role requires practical gardening experience and formal horticulture qualifications (HNC Amenity Horticulture and pesticide spraying). A full driving licence is essential to visit sites as required.

About The Role

We want our Gardener to be able to demonstrate the following behaviours and competencies:

• ability to work on an individual basis or part of a team;
• experience in organising own workload to achieve priorities and objectives;
• flexible, adaptable and able to work in pressurised situations in relation to matters of site security and resident safety;
• experience of providing a gardening or environmental service;
• basic IT skills such as using e-mail and word processing;
• hold a full driving licence at all times, valid in the UK, to be able to carry out this role. The post holder must drive safely at all times;
• HNC Amenity Horticulture; and certificate in pesticide spraying.
