We're growing and are looking to expand our talented network of freelance garden designers to help deliver exciting new projects.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Freelance Garden Designer to collaborate on residential garden projects of varying sizes and styles. This is a flexible, project-based role ideal for designers looking to work alongside an established brand while maintaining their own creative independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Soil Sisters team to develop concept and detailed designs
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and client meetings as needed
• Produce mood boards, scaled plans, planting plans, and 3D visuals (as applicable)
• Support with sourcing materials, planting lists, and contractor liaison
• Maintain clear communication and timelines throughout each project
• Represent the Soil Sisters brand professionally and collaboratively

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree or diploma in Garden Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in residential garden design
• Based in London or the South East and able to travel to sites as needed
• Excellent plant knowledge and understanding of UK climates and soils
• Friendly, professional, organised and client-focused
• Confident working independently and meeting deadlines
