Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking a Team Leader Plants for a full-time, on-site role at our Knaresborough centre. You will lead the plants department, work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and guide a team to deliver great service. The ideal candidate has plant knowledge, retail experience, and a hands-on approach; forklift license is a plus.

Applicants should be prepared for weekend work and lifting. 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2 years of plant knowledge a must, previous work within horticulture required.
• Forklift truck license would be an advantage though not essential as training will be given.
• Experience in building or similar retail experience is preferred.

We are looking for a Team Leader Plants to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive "can do" attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role and some heavy lifting will be involved. A forklift truck license would be an advantage although not essential as training will be given.

Experience in building or similar retail experience is preferred.
