Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking a Plant Department Manager in Brockworth. The role leads the horticulture department, develops the team and ensures every customer leaves with excellent service.

You will manage staff, drive sales, provide expert plant advice and maintain high standards across the department, with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee horticulture department operations and maximise profitable sales.
  • Provide expert plant care guidance and product knowledge.

  • Coordinate with central support teams on stock and communications.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

As a Plant Department Manager, you will manage, lead, inspire and develop an amazing team and ensuring all customers have a great in store experience.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing thehorticulturedepartmentoperation, maximising profitable sales and growth while creating a unique customer focussed environment.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance in relation to plant care and maintenance, core gardening products & equipment.
  • Taking the lead increating a great place to work for everyone on a day to day basis whilst thinking ahead to ensure your teamhave a development journey withus.
  • Sparking your team’s passion for delivering the best customer experience possible bycreating a brilliant customer journey.
  • Working closely with ourcentralsupport teams, maintaining top notch communication, stock supplyandresponse.
  • Ensuringdepartmentcompliance and health and safety regulations are carried out.
