Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior game engine developer to enhance and maintain engine technology across networking, audio, input, file systems, maths libraries, threaded job systems, and tools interoperability. You will research and deliver production-ready engine technology to power AAA titles.

Demonstrated experience in modern C++, GLSL, OpenGL/Vulkan, and performance profiling is required, with a track record of robust, scalable code and live-product improvements.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable game engine development experience in modern C++, with GLSL and Python.
  • Experience profiling CPU, GPU, and memory at high and low levels.
  • Experience monitoring performance in live products and implementing fixes.
  • Experience with AAA threaded renderers powered by OpenGL and Vulkan.
  • GLSL as the primary shading language.
  • Comfortable maintaining build systems for C++ codebases.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • CMake experience is an advantage.
  • Java programming experience is a bonus.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK without employer visa sponsorship.
