Job summary

National Museum Directors' Council is seeking a proactive Gallery Security Services Manager to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, contractors and the world-class collection.

Reporting to Health, Safety and Fire Risk Manager, you will oversee security operations, manage contracted providers, and coordinate with emergency services to maintain compliance and exceptional visitor experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing security in a public-facing, complex environment.
• Ability to lead teams and contractors, with strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of security services across the Gallery and ensure policies are applied.
• Oversee contracted security providers and specialist systems.
• Support incident management and investigations and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and emergency services to maintain compliance and visitor experience.
