Job summary

Cullen Kilshaw is seeking a Paralegal to join our residential conveyancing team in Galashiels. You will support file progression, liaise with clients and third parties, and help ensure smooth transactions from instruction to post-settlement.

The role requires Scottish conveyancing experience, strong organisational skills, and careful attention to detail. We offer a full-time position in a supportive firm environment with opportunities to develop expertise in LBTT and Registers of Scotland

Qualifications

• Experience working in residential conveyancing in Scotland.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.
• Experience managing files with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Registers of Scotland processes.
• Knowledge of LBTT submissions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage residential conveyancing files, including drafting documentation and submissions.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, lenders, and third parties.
• Progress files in line with agreed timescales.
• Update case management systems and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with AML and regulatory requirements.
• Handle post-settlement work including registration and LBTT submissions.
• Provide administrative support to solicitors as required.
