Job summary

Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce in Edinburgh is seeking a Gaelic-speaking Pupil Support Assistant to join the team on a permanent 0.71FTE basis. The role supports Gaelic immersion learners and includes administering medications as needed, with appropriate health and safeguarding responsibilities.

The post runs 29.17 hours per week across 39 weeks, working pattern Monday to Thursday 8:30–15:30 and Friday 8:30–12:40.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in a primary school setting.
• Ability to administer medication and respond to health needs.
• Awareness of Gaelic-medium education context is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and support learners with healthcare needs such as asthma and diabetes.
• Support learners with Gaelic language development within an immersion setting.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families and health professionals to ensure safe, inclusive learning.
