A dedicated Teaching Assistant is sought to support pupils with severe learning difficulties at Russett School. At Russett School, we aim to prepare our learners for life by developing skills to reach their full potential. Our specialist curriculum emphasizes communication strategies and life skills, fostering independence and well-being for a happy, fulfilled future.
The Russett School caters to pupils aged 2 to 19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and/or Complex Learning Needs, including communication and interaction challenges. We are part of Shaw Education Trust.
Our bespoke curriculum is designed specifically for learners with SLD, addressing their cognitive and learning impairments. We support pupils with additional needs, such as communication difficulties.
Learning activities are conducted in mixed-ability classes of around 11 pupils, supported by a team of four adults, including a class teacher and three Teaching Assistants.
