Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is recruiting on behalf of a specialist fused minerals manufacturer in Hull for a Multi Skilled Operative to join the production team in a 24-hour manufacturing environment. The role offers a structured shift pattern and hands-on, technically varied duties.

You will operate diverse plant equipment, support the shift supervisor, monitor performance, and ensure quality checks across batches.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
• Flexible approach to shift work, job rotation, and overtime.
• Ability to safely operate machinery and carry out manual handling tasks.
• High level of safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support a range of process plant equipment within a fused minerals processing facility.
• Work closely with the Shift Supervisor to complete production tasks efficiently and safely.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues or improvement opportunities.
• Record production output, downtime, and performance data (OEE monitoring).
• Carry out batch production processes, including set-up, adjustments, and completion.
• Ensure all finished batches are quality checked and signed off.
