Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is recruiting for a Finishing Plant Operator in Hull. This hands-on role operates heavy plant equipment in a challenging manufacturing environment, with training provided and permanent employment.

You will work a 4 on/4 off 12-hour shift pattern, averaging around 42 hours per week, and participate in continuous process improvement within the production team.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or heavy industry experience preferred.
• Experience operating machinery or overseeing production processes beneficial.
• Comfort working in dusty, noisy, physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotary kilns, coolers, screens, blenders and related plant equipment.
• Prepare and feed raw materials into production processes.
• Monitor plant performance and equipment operation; record data and readings.
• Maintain batch specifications and perform routine inspections for faults.
• Ensure proper dust extraction and LEV system monitoring.
• Ensure housekeeping standards across the plant.
• Report equipment faults, safety concerns and production issues.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Logistics teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on site.
