Job summary

Five Rivers Recruitment is seeking an experienced Furniture Production Supervisor near Salisbury to oversee planning, supervision and workshop management. The role focuses on coordinating the furniture production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple departments.

The successful candidate will manage workloads, maintain safety standards, and support continuous improvement while working a 42.5-hour week at £15-£18 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, proactive Production Supervisor with strong organising skills.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing or a workshop environment preferred.
• Ability to plan, schedule and manage multiple work streams while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan furniture production weeks in advance to maximise workshop efficiency.
• Supervise the production team and ensure targets and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate workflow across joinery, sanding, spraying and assembly departments.
• Identify bottlenecks and take action to keep projects on schedule.
• Oversee preparation, refurbishment, assembly and finishing of furniture.
• Maintain high housekeeping and Health & Safety standards in the workshop.
• Provide progress updates to management and support team development.
