Job summary

Adecco is recruiting an Assembly Assistant to join a busy warehouse team in Colchester. You will assemble wooden furniture parts and may support warehouse operations as needed. This is an immediate-start, temporary ongoing role with a 42.5 hour week.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30–16:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Prior assembly or production experience is beneficial, and a strong team ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Physically fit and comfortable handling furniture components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a range of wooden furniture parts.
• Fit hinges, handles and components to cupboards and furniture units.
• Safely use basic hand tools.
• Check finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Assistant to join a busy warehouse team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and is looking for immediate employment.

The Role

As an Assembly Assistant, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of wooden furniture products, including cupboards, doors, and other furniture components. You may also be required to support warehouse operations when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling small and large wooden furniture parts
• Fitting components to cupboards, doors, and furniture units. I.e hinges and door handles
• Using basic hand tools safely and effectively
• Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements
