Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd in Leeds LS10 is seeking an assembly operative with experience in furniture assembly and a willingness to learn across factory areas including upholstery, polishing/spraying, and machinery operation.

Full training will be provided, with a 39-hour week and shifts Monday to Thursday 7am-3:30pm and Friday 7am-2:30pm. The role offers £13.00–£13.50 per hour DOE and career development within a market-leading hospitality furniture manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture assembly and a willingness to learn across factory areas.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good communication and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety procedures and manual handling guidelines.
• Assemble furniture to a high standard.
• Learn to operate woodworking machinery.
• Carry out quality inspections and identify faults or defects.
• Pack finished products for dispatch.
• Assist with backing off various machines in the factory.
• Move work safely between departments.
