Travail Employment Group is seeking a Furnace Operative in Rotherham for a temporary-to-permanent position. You will operate annealing furnaces, manage a multi-product line and ensure quality checks are performed to specification.

Training will be provided, with weekly pay and 28 days holiday. The role suits candidates with FLT counterbalance experience and a background in heavy engineering, steel works or foundry environments, who can follow health and safety procedures and maintain accurate

Qualifications

• FLT counterbalance licence is required and must be verifiable.
• Experience in steel works, foundry, or heavy engineering environment.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate annealing furnaces.
• Manage the manufacturing line while running multiple products.
• Check product thickness, strength, colour and positioning.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure accurate recording of product information.
• Use FLT counterbalances and overhead cranes to load and unload machinery.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
