Job summary

Dutton Recruitment is seeking a Heat Treatment Operative for a permanent role in Sheffield. Salary is £33,133.33 per annum, including shift allowance. Immediate start subject to interview process.

Shifts include days, afternoons, and nights with schedules: Days 6am–2pm, Afternoons 1pm–9pm, Nights 8pm–6am. Responsibilities cover material traceability, charge makeup, and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Manual handling techniques training provided.
• Basic training in Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Forklift & Side loader driving training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch materials with traceability per admin procedures.
• Identify material before and after heat treatment; report anomalies to supervisor.
• Ensure correct charge makeup and breakdown in line with heat treatment reports.
• Perform straightening/brinelling to meet customer deadlines.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.

Heat Treatment Operative

Permanent position based with our client in Sheffield. Salary is £33,133.33 per annum inclusive of shift allowance.

Immediate start available subject to interview process.

Shift pattern: working days, afternoons, and nights – Days: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, Afternoons: 1pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, Night shift: Monday to Thursday 8pm to 6am.

Responsibilities

• Goods receipt and dispatch of material to ensure traceability of material through correct use of administration procedure.
• ID material before and after heat treatment; highlight and report any anomalies to the charge-hand and/or Heat Treatment Manager.
• Charge makeup / breakdown – ensure correct make‑up of charge in line with Heat Treatment reports.
• Straightening / Brinelling – work to deadlines to meet customers' demands.
• Work in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety and Environment Policies and with the Company's safe systems of work and procedures, ensuring the safety of self and others.

Requirements
