Job description

Funds Associate/Senior Associate (3–6 PQE) | London

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Funds Associate (3-6 years' PQE) to join a growing and ambitious Funds team in London.

This role is ideal for a high-performing associate looking to accelerate their career within a leading international law firm. The successful candidate will have strong experience advising on investment funds matters, with exposure to fund transactions including primary investments, secondaries, co-investments and other complex transactional work.

The Opportunity

You will join a dynamic and expanding team advising an exceptional client base on a broad range of high-profile capital raising and transactional mandates.

This is a rare opportunity to become part of a growing practice where associates are given genuine responsibility from an early stage. You'll take ownership of matters, draft and negotiate key transaction documents (including facility agreements where relevant), lead negotiations with counterparties and work directly with clients on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions.

Unlike many larger teams, this role offers exceptional exposure to the commercial side of deals. You'll gain real insight into how transactions are structured, build strong client relationships and be involved throughout the lifecycle of each deal - not just a small part of the process.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-6 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm.
  • Experience advising on fund transactions, including primary investments, secondaries and co-investments.
  • Confidence drafting and negotiating complex transaction documentation, with experience of facility agreements viewed favourably.
  • Excellent technical ability, commercial awareness and communication skills.
  • An ambitious, collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Why Apply?
  • Join a market-leading international law firm with a strong global platform.
  • Work on sophisticated, high-value, cross-border transactions.
  • Take ownership of matters from an early stage, including leading negotiations and managing key aspects of deals.
  • Gain exceptional client exposure and a genuine understanding of the commercial drivers behind transactions.
  • Enjoy a high level of visibility and recognition within a growing team where your contribution will make a real impact.
  • Benefit from clear, merit-based career progression with excellent opportunities for advancement.
  • Access first-class mentoring, training and professional development within a collaborative and supportive culture.
