The role is permanent, with 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week and requires evening and weekend work.

Menphys supports disabled children, young people and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our fundraising helps create opportunities, strengthen services and build long term support from the communities and organisations around us.
We are looking for an energetic Fundraiser who can bring their own strengths to a collaborative team. We do not expect one person to specialise in everything. We want to understand where you are strongest, where you want to develop and how you can contribute to the team.
Head of Fundraising
Menphys, Leicester, with activity across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
22.5 to 37.5 hours per week, depending on the person
Permanent
Evening and weekend work is required.
To help Menphys grow sustainable income and long term supporter relationships as part of a flexible fundraising team. The role will be shaped around the successful candidate's strengths, with opportunities to contribute across community fundraising, events, partnerships, individual giving, trusts, stewardship and campaigns.
Our fundraising team works across the areas below. No one person is expected to lead on all of them. We organise responsibilities around strengths, experience, capacity and development, while working together towards shared income and relationship goals.
We care more about the person, their values and the strengths they could bring than finding someone who has done every part of fundraising before. You may come from fundraising, sales, business development, account management, partnerships, events or trust fundraising. We want to understand what you are good at, what gives you energy and where you could add most value to the team.
Strong alignment with Menphys' values and a genuine commitment to improving opportunities for disabled children, young people and families.
Warmth, integrity, curiosity, accountability and a willingness to contribute as part of a team where people play to their strengths.
Experience in a purpose led, community, charity or values led environment.
Evidence that you can create opportunities and turn relationships, ideas or applications into income, support or action. This could come from fundraising, sales, business development, account management, partnerships, events or trust fundraising.
Direct fundraising experience in one or more areas, including trusts, community, corporate, events, individual giving or challenge fundraising.
Comfortable working towards income goals, keeping accurate records and understanding the basic relationship between income, cost and return.
At Menphys, fundraising is about more than a transaction. We want supporters and funders to understand our work, feel part of our community and see the difference their support makes. We also know strong fundraising teams are made up of different strengths. Some people are brilliant relationship builders, some are particularly strong at trust applications, some thrive at events, and others love stewardship, individual giving or developing new income opportunities. We want people to do more of the work they are good at, while developing their wider fundraising skills.
Menphys is committed to creating an inclusive environment and welcomes applications from people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We want our recruitment process to be accessible and encourage applicants to tell us about any reasonable adjustments they require.
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short practical fundraising task or presentation aligned to the areas of fundraising most relevant to their experience. Full instructions will be provided in advance.
