Job summary

Believe housing is seeking a Funding and Grants Lead to secure external funding for decarbonisation, retrofit and asset investment. The role involves leading funding applications, grant compliance and performance reporting.

You will collaborate across Assets, Development, Finance and external partners to maximise funding, while meeting funder and governance requirements.

The role offers flexible patterns, with offices in Seaham and Bishop Auckland, and a salary of £35,194–£36,547 per year.

Responsibilities

• Identify and track external funding opportunities supporting decarbonisation, retrofit, and asset investment.
• Monitor government policy, funding programmes and regulatory developments affecting housing.
• Lead or support preparation and submission of funding applications and grant bids.
• Assess eligibility criteria, risks and obligations to maximise funding success.
• Ensure compliance with funding conditions, grant agreements and audits.
• Maintain robust records of applications, awards, claims and supporting evidence.
