Job summary

Pennon Group is seeking an ambitious CREWW Funding Bid Specialist to turn research excellence into funded innovation across the South West Water and University of Exeter partnership. You will identify funding opportunities, build partnerships and lead high-quality bids worth up to £10m.

You will coordinate across academia, industry and funding bodies, translating research capabilities into investable projects, while advancing Pennon's strategic priorities in resilience and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large, multi-partner innovation funding programmes.
• Proven track record in securing external funding through grant applications and bids.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills for compelling bids.
• Excellent planning, influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience coordinating cross-organisational project development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and submission of complex funding bids up to £10m.
• Oversee end-to-end bid processes including technical, commercial and financial elements.
• Write and coordinate compelling bid content for funding bodies and decision-makers.
• Serve as the interface between South West Water and the University of Exeter funding teams.
• Foster collaboration among academia, industry and funders.
• Identify opportunities, build partnerships and shape a robust innovation pipeline.
